When it comes to top 10 lists of scariest or best horror movies of all time...there are many that are left out, that really should make the list...'Christine' is one of them, in my opinion.
I don't think I've ever seen Christine mentioned in any top 10 or 20 horror movie list ever...but I must give the movie Christine it's props.
It's a solid horror movie, done in solid fashion....and recently I've revisited the movie, and forgot how well done it was...
I kind of put Christine in the same category as the movie 'Carrie'...kind of cult horror, if that makes sense.
Or 'off beat' horror'...book horror...meaning the movie has a book or bookish feel to it.
In the above scene...Christine is born...lets watch it together...

When it comes to scary movies, top 10 or even top 50 lists, this movie never gets mentioned. It's kind of like a '28 days later' meets 'day of the dead', meets red necks flick, but it does the trick.
I would have to throw it in the zombie genre, and it does the trick.
It's a good, well written, slightly low budget, yet effective horror movie.
And has the feeling of a future 'cult classic' type of movie.
But yet it never gets mention on top scary movie lists, accept here, in the Twylight Zone. Cause here, things are evaluated differently, and fairly.
And this movie here, 'The Crazies' is definitely worth watching if you like horror and surprises.
The characters in the movie are like your neighbors, people you were raised with.
Good convincing actors/actresses, are always the key to a movie.
Good performers can even make an other wise low budget dud, come to life and seem very realistic.
I definitely give this horror classic a thumbs up and toss it in the 'best horror movies of all times that never get mentioned' bin...

Oh how could I not add 'Event Horizon' to this growing list of best horror movies of all time that never seem to get mentioned or added to lists.
Event Horizon has to be one of the best space ship horror movies, if not the best, of all time. It basically takes Amytiville Horror to space.
The effects, the theme, still touch you today.
You can watch it now, on DVD, and think it was released yesterday, this movie has really good staying power and doesn't feel dated at all, way ahead of it's times, and effects are still superb.
This movie has all the qualities for a late night horror movie, the kind that gives you chills at night, while watching alone.
Definitely worth the watch.

A rare mention of newer horror movie actually kind of done right.
Not a bad movie at all, for those into classical horror.

The Shining
This movie works cause there's no modern day stupid commercialism.
And actors, actresses are cast do to talent, not model like dense looks.
This is a no nonsense true horror movie in all the classical sense of horror.
Todays producers, directors, just don't know how to make them like this anymore.

Resident Evil...the very first one in series.
This movie was done right, based on video game, yet still done right.
It contains everything a classic horror/scary movie contains, and falls kind of in the zombie genre...
It's just done right, right background music, right characters you actually care about, right tempo.
But yet never gets mentioned in top scariest movie lists.
(Also movies with duel unrelated threats I like, just adds to the mystery of horror)

I'm currently watching 'Paranormal Activity 3', but while watching movie, I can see elements of it that were incorporated into the above movie 'Mama'....as in little girl running around at night playing with, interacting with Ghost/Demon.
There's a scene in 'Mama' where exact same thing occurs, only 'Paranormal Activity 3' was released about 4 years or more before 'Mama' came out.
Great films seem to copy from each other if you pay attention to details.

AutopsyThis movie came out in 2008, yet gets very little fan fare or mention ever. I wouldn't say it's amongst the best scary movies ever, but does deserve mention. In fact I'd have to categorize in more in the slasher category. I discovered it after purchasing one of the horror movie bundles you get in the Walmart $5.00 movie bins. It's actually not a bad movie, and has interesting characters you can half way relate to. I find it entertaining on many levels and have watched it several times. It sort of at first has that 'B' movie feel to it, but as movie moves along, there are some interesting twists. And if watching alone at home on dark night with surround sound stereo, you might find yourself jumping at a few scenes, or turning away, not just from gore, but from some truly spooky images, or 'gotcha' type of scenes. Not one of the best horror movies ever, but maybe one of the best or under rated non franchise slasher movie. Sadly unless movies like this franchise their production, meaning have sequels, than they're usually forgotten about fairly quickly.

'The Faculty'
Not a bad movie at all that kind of revisits high school years, clichés, peer pressure, bullying and it all, with a added horror twist.
This movie never gets mentioned in top horror movie lists, and I think it should...maybe not the most scariest per say, but definitely one of the most disturbing, in that it just has a kind of realistic twist to it...like invasion of the body snatchers did...definitely worth checking out.

This list of best horror movies of all time that never get mentioned on lists, would definitely not be complete without 'Cube 2 : Hypercube
It's an intelligent horror thriller, that I doubt producers would have the patience to fund today, as all in Hollywood seem to think all viewers are dumb now when it comes to good horror cinema.
Movies like this you won't really see anymore in this era, in that they required you to think a bit, and actually used seasoned actors and actresses, instead of models with no acting skills at all.
As such the movie has a very realistic effect, as if could happen to any common person.
In short the premise is basically a bunch of people caught up inside a gigantic rubics cube.
I have it in my collection and enjoy watching it from time to time. Sadly you rarely, if ever, see this movie mentioned in top horror movies of all times, but here in the Zone it gets that mention.
Castaways stuck in a cube instead of on Gilligand's Island.

REC...one of the best sub titled horror movies of all time never to get any mention...what a shame.
This movie will flat out give you chills, if watched a lone at night.
It just has a lot of nightmarish imagery about it.

Apollo 18
I found this movie about supposed lost mission to the moon, to be kind of creepy.
Kind of done in the Paranormal Activity bio manner.
This movie, if watched alone, at night, and with decent speakers, will give make you squirm a bit.
Some thought it was Korney, but I liked it and is why I'm adding it to this collection of good to decent horror movies that never seem to make lists..

Halloween 2 (The 2009 Rod Zombie version)This is the truly much darker, gorier much needed face lift the Halloween series needed. I believe this version was produced by Rod Zombie? (The Devils Rejects, House of a 1000 corpses) This remake of Halloween II is like Halloween on LSD or something. It definitely has a different feel than the Halloweens in the original series. It Brings the movie to the 'Goth' generation, or 'Dark Metal' generation, and out of the Disco generation from the 70's, when the original movie was produced (1978) I can't say it's one of the 'best' horror movies ever, that I can't say, but when contrasting it with the other Halloween movies, I'm impressed.

DeliveranceI know the movie 'Deliverance' may seem like a odd fit in this section of 'Best horror movies of all times that never get mentioned', but to me it's not. It's a freaky movie, even today, starring Burt Renold's when he was at his prime, and actually the movie that gave him a big boost. If haven't seen, worth watching, and if haven't seen in a long time, worth watching again. It's creepy, but in very realistic way, one of the best movies ever of any genre, but often over looked today in lists. There's still people like this who exist, they haven't gone extinct, some may even be in your family, or you may be one. None the less insiders meeting outsiders sums up this dark movie. Added note: I can easily see this movie spawning ideas for 1. Friday the 13th 2. The Hills have eyes Both of which came years later.

Demon Seed(1977)
There needs to be a conclusion or sequel to this move, 'Demon Seed'.
Movie was made way before it's time.
Have to be a thinking type to understand this ahead of it's time sci-fi/horror movie.
