Lately I find dead silence better for my nerves, soul and spirit, than bad TV programingLately just can't handle TV noise, terrible programing, I mean who watches this stuff? Who wants to watch the lives of other ordinary people build a cabin, or sell stuff at pawn shop, or hunt geese? And cable news, are you hobbitding me, gossip, opinion, is not news! There's just nothing on TV that interests me anymore, called to end cable subscription the other day, and as usual Comcast out sources it's customer service over seas...(not blaming the over seas customer service help, in that they do their best to please) It just annoys me that why can't offer same position to some college hobbit from Kansas or Nebraska or Montana, why Asia? Where company sends you for help says a lot about their upper management, says a lot about their mindset, and how they ultimately view you as a consumer. Anyways, Asian phone help convinced me to hang onto to cable a bit longer with promise of new 'package', more for less. More channels for sure, but will I watch? The more intelligent you become, the less TV programing interests you, period. TV viewing, programing, is really just designed for the stupid, to be honest with you. As is talk radio shows. So as usual, TV off, way before I go to bed, as I find silence much me therapeutic. I actually do get more out of PBS programing than commercial TV, at least PBS actually covers stuff that's interesting, like nature, documentaries, history, and more, stuff that doesn't insult your intelligence. Their political commentators obviously have a slant, but they're very small part of over all programing on PBS, and if PBS goes away, just won't have any real need for TV anymore, will simply subscribe to like Movie stream feed or something, where I can skip all the commercials and just dial up movies or shows I want to see here and now.

As I get older, TV viewing becomes worse and worse of an experienceAs I get older, TV viewing is become worse and worse by the day for me, I literaly just turn TV off now and sit in silence or listen to the radio than watch torturous TV programing anymore. I just can't relate to any of it anymore. The news use to be some what tolerable back when cable news shows actually discussed the news, now it's just 24/7 politics, CNN and Fox simply flipped their aggression. There is no more 'news', all there is now is in studio analyst of Presidential politics with endless panels, recycled panels, you see the same people deliver their same predictable pro or anti Trump sentiment, night after night, that's not news. In the past reporters would go out and investigate non political accidents, non political scandals, wars, civil wars in other nations and so forth, and they kept politics out of it, at least compared to today. PBS actually still kind of delivers news shows using that old school format of dispatch and report. PBS one of the few news shows that will actually cover a top story, or side story for more than 10 seconds where as cable news has totally dropped that format and instead assemble panels that lecture audience all night long, as if their opinions about any given matter is more valid than their viewers. And then all the other meaningless cooking shows, TV auction shows, and re runs, and reality shows about everything now, 'Hill Billie Bob and his family do Paris', and so forth, or 'Pawn shop wars'. I just can't take it anymore, it's deadening to the mind, to those who like to think. And then commercials eat up 40% or more of TV viewing time, bad programing to commercials, then turn channel, more commercials, then back to bad programing. Until cable starts allowing viewers to chose the channels they want, than cable will be a thing of the past soon. I really only got it now for internet access, but soon will get internet without having to pay for other channels where the programing on them annoys me, designed for people who are bed ridden or something. Even youtube is more interesting now than cable TV, cause on youtube can plug in whatever subject interests you, from animal shows, bug wars, gang documentaries, airplane mishaps, funniest scenes from people, specific interviews, scary stuff and more. Anyways right now TV off, DVD in, if cable is going to play old movies all the time, well I already have those on DVD, but at least when watching on player there's no commercial interruption.

It actually saddens me a bit, that TV's not worth my time watching anymore
It's come down to bad programing followed by long flurry of commercials, so when commercials come on, I turn channel or mute it, then it seems just randomly you catch more commercials on TV than the actual programs.
IT's one reason why I hope PBS sticks around, even though I rarely watch, but when do watch documentary on there or some other historical WW2 program ect, at least I don't have to worry about commercials every few minutes, wasting and eating up my free time.
I think tonight, saw more commercials than the programs I was watching, even when turning channels, the few I flip to.
And who watches CNN now?...every single segment has host who simply bashes Trump, or talks about Russia still, all it is is opinion, and it's all one way, the opinions never come from outside the studio, it's just pundents trading opinions with other pundents or studio talking heads, it's gross to me what CNN, as well as other cable news shows have evolved into.
And under former P Obama, I was equally as turned off by Fox News 24/7 negative analyst of him.
Why would I want to waste my off time viewing other peoples ugly opinions?
At least talk radio, (local shows) allow for caller feedback.
The larger shows like Rush or Savage do not however, all calls carefully screened to make host always seem right or agreeable.
There's no more news on TV anymore, just opinion.
And all these reality shows turn me off to, 'Swamp People', 'Mountain men', Pawn wars and more.
I have my own life to lead, why would I care about what mountain people are doing?
I just can't watch any of this stuff anymore, maybe it's time I start learning to play video games, at least that way I'm more engaged in the screen, and not being lectured to by Don Lemon or Krauthammer of Fox.
Same faces over and over again, it's like torture.

Silence tonight
Silence tonight, can't stand any of it, just not in the mood, not the news (there is none), not talk radio, not old or new TV series, not reality TV, not auction TV, not the weather channels, none of it.
It's all annoying to me and has nothing to do with my own life, and what I face tomorrow...none of it can make anything in my life better, all it does is waste my time.
I have TV/radio off now, all I can hear is distant traffic, the tire sound, and crickets or birds chirping, and fan blowing 6 feet in front of me, that's it.
Just in one of those moods I guess, for silence, for own thoughts.
My personal dreams that I have, when I sleep, or more fulfilling than watching TV, cause in dreams I get to interact with all characters.
I currently spend over $1000.00 a year on cable, that's going to have to end soon, not getting my monies worth.
1000 a year for a few hours of viewing a day, for a few channels, maybe like 6 channels I surf between, not worth it.
I just need internet, and can then either live stream some sci-fi or horror channel, where I get to chose what in mood to watch, or just get some antenna and still get 6 or so channels for free.

Cable finally gone Cable TV finally gone, Comcast finally gone, they turned services off do to late payment, and told them they can keep it off. I just don't have $150.00 or so, to get cable back on, late fee, reconnect fee, this fee, that fee, just keep it off! Now I can start saving money again. I was barely watching any of the channels that came with basic service anyhow. Never used my fax, and never used home phone, so no big deal, I dumped over 2,500 dollars into Comcast just probably over 2 years, more than that actually, I mean 12 x 130 or so...just don't need it right now, been struggling lately, and when fiscally struggling only then do you realize how much money is being wasted. Now I can get separate wi fi internet for 20 a month instead of 90+ a month! So thanks Comcast for doing me a favor and turning service off, and now it will stay off.

Lately, I find my TV viewing has gone down to about 1% of all time spent per week
Lately I notice my TV viewing has gone down to about 1% of all time spent per week when not working.
I just haven't the need for it anymore, especially now that got 'Netflix'...
Establishment media types, just don't get, understand, how intrusive commercials are, how much people despise them.
With Netflix, zero commercials while watching movie, mood, moment, not interrupted by fake azz commercial, the writers off, who care zero about me in real life and so create this 'plastic reality' where everyone smiles and loves you...so so fake.
And or news broadcasts that show open, obvious political bias, whether left or right, it's all so sick, in that they assume viewers, listeners, are hyper stupid.
Who needs it after working hard all day?
I certainly do not, and is why TV has remained off for at least a week.
I only have 'cable' for internet service, that's it.
Nothing on TV serves me anymore.
Over saturation of insulting commercials have killed my desire to watch TV anymore...
Just the opposite effect marketeirs, (or however spelled) thought they'd have.
Now I view zero commercials...do to so called bright marketeirs, (or however spelled).

Turned TV on after being off for a week, instantly barraged with commercials, instantly turned TV right back off, when will they learn?
TV's been off for a week, other things have taken up precious time, so turned TV on minutes ago, instantly barraged with nothing but commercials, so instantly turned TV right back off, and if need to view, will view 'Netflix' instead.
My time is precious to me, so is my mind, and don't have time, anymore, for commercials, designed and created by those who have no idea what reality is like for average day to day people.
If anything they should run commercials in 'small box' rather than disrupt programming...now if I were an insider people would say, 'Oh what a great idea', but since said on here, nothing...no mention, but don't be surprised if idea stolen.
If commercials ran on lower part of screen, or sub screen, people would be more inclined to pay attention to them, while main show still airing, but in this day and age, when abruptly cut off show, for 5-8 commercials, who has the time or patience for that anymore, unless bed ridden.

Sometimes I just find self watching older goofy TV series just to feel 'apart of', to feel apart of a 'family'.
I know it's goofy, like right now watching 'Archie Bunker' Show...goofy episode where Archie and wife fly out to California to be with daughter and Michael, not realizing they're 'split'.
I don't know...not sure what my current life has in common with Archie Bunker show, but just hearing people talk, relate, fight, argue, resolve issues, makes me feel connected.

Strange observance
I view TV through rabbit ear antena, get a variety of free TV shows, many of the same ones would get on cable.
But today I notices with a lot of the shows 'voice over' delay.
I noticed voice over delay in many TV shows I've watched for years, and some newer TV shows I'd never seen before, but in most there was apparent voice over delay, like those old Kung fu movies, but these shows originally in English, so to voice over a show already in English made no sense to me, not only that but never noticed this 'voice over' effect years ago.
1. Are current shows on Antena TV being re dubbed from another language?
All I know is once I noticed this I became a bit annoyed, felt tricked, see if you notice it as well.
Just seems nothing is as it appears today, it's as if we're all being tricked by something.

Interupting TV shows with commercials seems like such an annoying, outdated form to advertise anymore.
I mean after two commercial interuptions I'm pretty much done watching what ever program I'm watching. And I never buy anything advertised on TV.
Commercials are never inline with programming, just they're annoying and break up the mood program had you in.

As a person of color, even I am getting sick of all the ethnically correct scenes in Movies and commercials now...it's just gross at times, and doesn't feel natural.
Even viewed movie a few months ago, where like in the year 1700 in Ireland, casting directors of movie felt the need to place African couple right in the middle of Irish village in like 1700.
It just felt so fake, so forced.
I mean even minorities understand history and social realities.
I mean forcing Blacks and Chinese and gay men kissing into every scene now just takes away from movies plot or theme...enough already...

Do the casting directors of TV or movies realize how annoying it is when they force inject a black person into every single scene with whites?
Yes, of course, I'm into diversity, but my gosh it has to feel natural and not forced!
I swear man, every single movie, TV show, on Netflix, they force cram into every single scene with whites, they force cram a black person or two, who have no logical reason to be there.

TV, streaming, whatever, is getting harder and harder for me to watch.
Got Netflix again, now wondering why?
Barely watch it, all the movies just seem 'tired' and tried.
I think 'Reality' shows kind of put a big dent in what actors do.
i mean following some Prisoner around with camera just seems more thrilling than watching a movie about a prisoner.
I think this is a bad time to be an actor or actress.
When I grew up you saw the same 'stars' appearing in various movies, shows, now it seems they're all basically one and done.
The movie/TV market is so overly saturated with shows now.
It just seems the days of recognizable 'Star' faces are done, at least in the movies.
I mean other than big comic book movies like 'The Avengers', you just don't see the 'Stars' anymore, recognizable faces, at least I don't.
And new movie releases, where do you even see those anymore?
Not on TV, that's for sure.
It's like you now have to go to You Tube and type in 'New movies' to see new trailers.
Just about every movie seems like a 'B' movie to me now, or worse.
To much stuff, to little meaningful content anymore.

Can't take TV anymore, barely. Just like you have 'fake news', you now have 'fake TV' or fake TV scenerio's where 96 lb woman beats up 5 men...not even a man could do that.
On TV shows women hero's who know karate, in real life women call 911, and lie to cops, about innocent B dude walking to church, then cops show up so charged, they shoot first.
On TV, women upfront brave warriors, in real life, most women sneaky cowards who lie, in order to get 'men' they hate to do violence for them.
TV shows, like the news, is just so full of falsehoods these days.

No longer have cable TV, but even on antenna TV, can barely watch...well the show's aren't to bad, but the commercials in between are. Seems every other commercial, after say 8 pm, is about death, disease and dying, gross. This medication, that funeral home, this sick and dying hobbit, this sick and dying pet at animal shelter. Is why just hit remote. I mean with all the billionaires on this planet, if their money can't solve life issues, why do they think poor working class peoples money can? I mean just because I'm not homeless, doesn't mean I'm rich. I, we, normal class of people also struggle, and our struggles are the most ignored. Cause people assume just cause have apt, or house, and a car, must be doing well...if only they new the behind the scenes hell. So when I sit down, after brutal day of low wage job, last thing I feel like seeing is commercial, begging for money, with half face of 'hobbit' ripped off, as if to guilt me. Again, if billionaires who have millions to give can't help that 'hobbit', than why do these charities burden me, us, when struggling to make car payment or have own medical issues, ect.
