Take Out Girl
Wow, this is a pretty good show that centers around a tough, street level, Asian family.
It's gritty, it's like a Asian version of 'Boys' N' Da Hood', and it's very realistic.
It's a street level side of Asian American life that many in the mainstream don't see, and or even know exists.
I'm watching it on antenna TV, of all places, in other words for free. ('This) is the name of the TV channel it's on.

How come the newer Star Trek series just don't hold up as well over time as the original one did or does?  Take Star Trek Voyager, for example, watching it now, and it just already feels so 'dated', so 90's. It already has that soggy, 1990's aura to it, like watching a old soap opera or something. Even the film quality is poor, and doesn't seem to hold up as well as the original Star Trek did. In the original Star Trek, the colors, the sounds, just seemed more and still feel more vibrant.

Cable finally gone Cable TV finally gone, Comcast finally gone, they turned services off do to late payment, and told them they can keep it off. I just don't have $150.00 or so, to get cable back on, late fee, reconnect fee, this fee, that fee, just keep it off! Now I can start saving money again. I was barely watching any of the channels that came with basic service anyhow. Never used my fax, and never used home phone, so no big deal, I dumped over 2,500 dollars into Comcast just probably over 2 years, more than that actually, I mean 12 x 130 or so...just don't need it right now, been struggling lately, and when fiscally struggling only then do you realize how much money is being wasted. Now I can get separate wi fi internet for 20 a month instead of 90+ a month! So thanks Comcast for doing me a favor and turning service off, and now it will stay off. Can't believe I use to have cable, and cut it back in 2017. Cable seems like such a odd concept to me now.. |

The older you get, the less impressed you become with people you see on TV, they all just start appearing plastic to you.
You compare them, those you seen in commercials, with the real people you deal with daily, and you realize how fake it all is, TV personalities that is.
I guess that's why they call it acting.
But when younger, it all seems real.

You'd think that after over 70 years of Television, that they'd of figured out a way by now not to make TV commercials so invasive to a show.
I mean it's like BLAM! = commercial out of nowhere, and has nothing to do with the show you're watching.
The whole point of watching a show is to build emotional momentum towards a scene or moment, then BLAM!, here comes intrusive commercials, which totally take you out of the moment.
1. Maybe if commercials could scroll at bottom of screen?
2. Or give viewer a countdown before they begin?
Cause as of now, when commercials air, it's like water in the face...BLAM! = commercials.
They gotta do a better job at not annoying the viewer.

I hear Amazon will add commercials to their shows and movies next year, if and when they do that I think I'm done with streaming, and will just go back to DVD's
I hate commercials, the way they disrupt your movie, or moment, it's like someone throwing acid in your face, or sour water.
And commercials just so cheapen the experience of watching a movie, commercials can be very dehumanizing at times.
Commericals just assume you're some brain dead consumer without a soul, or thoughts, or troubles of your own, and movies can be places of escape.
All commericals do is inject everything I hate about society right into my personal space....the images, the messaging, the political correct BS.
I'll end the streaming side of Amazon if they add commercials, and I'll just do YT, YT has commercials, but at least it's free, or I'll sign their streaming service.
And I'm about done with Disney as well, I mean how many times can I watch the same Star Wars or Marvel shows over and over again.

More and more I'm missing good ole fashioned regular antenna TV, where there's only a few options to watch, thus saving you hours of mindless channel surfing.  I had one for years, then tried hooking it to the computer and it broke. I think the internet sent it a self destroy signal since it wasn't a smart TV. I may go to pawn shop, or order me a good old fashion non internet TV, I'm perfectly fine only getting local channels.

You know, the closet thing any of us, most of us, will have to being on TV is live streaming on certain platforms like Rumble or even YT, I suppose...and if you can build an audience, and schedule regular shows, episodes, that would be good practice.
I'm use to podcasting/broadcasting, but it's all pre recorded...I think to up my game I need to create a scheduled live stream...hmm.
And unlike TV, it's free, it's just up to you to build your audience...hmm

If I live streamed on Rumble, what would I talk about?
I think I'd have to have several shows dealing with different themes...30 minute shows
One on...
1. Paranormal
2. Religious stuff, or anti religious stuff, etc
3. Politics, of course
4. Dating and romance maybe? Or pop culture or just a variety show where I go over general interesting news and comment on it...celeb talk, etc.
I don't know, I may try it.
But for TV you have to look presentable...that's work...lol

Yep, I think I'm gonna create my own live stream show, just not now though cause it's to late and my mind isn't focused, but yeah, I think I can come up with some shows that will razzle and dazzle viewers, for sure.

I'm in a hotel right now watching TV and can't turn off closed captioning...so very annoying, I've tried everything.
