TV doesn't air enough 'alternative culture or mindsets
I'm bored with TV. TV doesn't air enough alternative culture type of people and views and styles, and when they do, they always over do it so that it comes off totally fake, over produced.
Nothing worse than a actor trying to mimic a culture or sub culture they know nothing about, like maybe they read a book the night before to study up.
Lately though, the people who are plastered on TV, in TV shows are the very types I avoid or who avoid me in real life.
Square, standard, average types.
How boring.
Everything is boring to me lately, every thing just feels so 'standard', no one has creative vision anymore, or if do, I'm not apart of that social circle.

Images on TV really annoy me now cause everything is in extremes
Images on TV really annoy me now cause everything is in extremes, examples to follow.
1. W-women = always portrayed as very young, model looking, and perfect, almost with a glass film over skin, is how TV perfect most W women appear on TV = fake.
2. Men on TV generally always appear the opposite of W women in that the men always look to be in their 40's and above, on TV, in commercials, whatever, it's as if on TV no males exist under the age of 30 or 25, all males seem to be cast to look older shaving types in mid to late 40's.
3. B women, on TV always made to look 'husky' and or 'butch', and or just wild. That's just how TV, the media, loves to portray B women, millions of black women available for TV, but casting producers allows only seem to find ones that cater to their 'jungle or wild' perception of what a B woman is.
4. B males chosen for Hollywood rarely look handsome...NFL B athletes look handsome, but they're never chosen for roles, instead always some charcoal toned, featureless B male actor cast in movie or movies next to shiny, young, W actress. Like that TV show 'Texas Ranger' with Chuck Norris, i mean could they not have chosen a more ugly B male co-star? Or the B jedi on Star Wars (the newer series of movies), talk about ugly....not sure why Hollywood, those who run it, so fear placing images of actual handsome B men on TV, you'd have to ask them yourself.
And other things that annoy me about TV is when they air or show abused animals, or when they air and or show sick and dying hobbits with cancer or deformaties, as if that's going to get you to donate money. I see that as exploitation.
Why would you drag a hobbit, who's deformed, and put them in a commercial, and then tell them to 'act sad' (as if they already aren't) and look into the camera.
To me that shouldn't be allowed, but it is.
Kind of like how anti abortion advocates use to air gross pictures of fetuses on TV or in posters, as if that would change anyone's mind. You have to be sick to do such a thing.
None of those 'gross' adds or commercials ever sway my mind about anything, I simply turn channel before I hear message.
Just like years and years ago, they use to air those fur seals getting clubbed, I could never watch those, but am glad they bought that particular horror to the public's attention.
It's just lately, the images on TV gross me out.
Or when they show smokers who are dying of cancer, i turn the channel, or the elderly in bed with tubes, pitching some commercial about Life insurance, I turn the channel!!
I don't need to be grossed out to understand 'the message'...

Just had to turn it all off tonight The above from an older post but got rid of the content so could write what's currently on mind. And it's basically the same, or worse, in that most media annoys me, built on falsehoods. Have been watching those 'detective TV shows', and it's astounding the level of in house brutality that took place prior to the 80's. Fathers that abused (at least by today's standards) their own family, their own wives, their own hobbits, and it was considered 'normal'. Yet when you watch TV shows from that era, like 'Father knows Best', 'Leave it to Beaver' and other type shows, such a prestine, clean, image of family life was presented, when in reality, for most families living in rural areas, especially farms and homesteads, more than likely the Father was abusing his wife and hobbits, physically and soxually, and so was the Uncle and whom else other. Life was brutal back then, when women could get beat, molested, and nothing thought of it, and I'm sure younger males were getting beat and molested as well, but back then who was gonna say anything? Especially if a younger male, i mean if you had spoken up that 'Bob' jumped into your bed, you'd be considered the freak, and a liar, so no telling all the 10's of 1000's of abusive tales never got told, but also can probably explain the odd behavior of the adults in the 70's and 80's and 90's trying to deal with what occurred to them when younger, and as adults taking it out on self, others, and by using drugs and drinking. Back then it just wasn't 'cool' to talk about what happened to you while at home, it didn't become cool to do so on TV until like the 'Donahue' show, and other audience orientated type 'tell all' shows began to become popular. And it must of been a meat factory within the Catholic Church back then, those Priests had immunity to defile whomever they wanted, for centuries, yet on Sunday, the choir boys would get up there and 'sing' dressed up all sparkly, even though they got sparkled the night before by demented Priests. Amazing the things that occurred to people back then, and even now, that are kept in the dark. Racism was rampent back then, but now seems every other type of vileness was to, but TV shows back then painted just the opposite picture of society....what a ruige. It's all a lie, I mean yes and no, I'm sure not all households were disfunctional, and I"m sure most did strive to 'be better'. But even now TV pushes lies today. Politicians are nothing more than legalized loan shark personal, I mean look how they're draining the treasury right now, and now want to pass another 3 trillion relief bill...are you hobbitding me? There's still small businesses that haven't even got money from first bill yet, the funds ran out like in days, grabbed by large firms at the top, candy to them, handed to them by politicians! The same thing will occur if the 3 trillion passes, people at the bottom will get crumbs, spend those crumbs, be taxed on those crumbs and the money will float back to the top again. I mean 3 trillion dollars??? If that's the case than just send everyone a check for $20,000, instead of $1,200. But again, the money will vanish, and the people who need it the most will be like 'Hey, when do I get my cut of the money?'....and they won't get it, ever see it, it will just vanish. All the politicians who are robbing the treasury should be rounded up, fired and jailed for what they're doing to this nation, how they're using the Corona virus to destroy America for good. This is sick, and most of us can only sit back and watch as the treasury of U.S. being ramshacked. No other nations is doing this to themselves.... And after this I don't ever wanna hear any stupid Conservative talk radio hosts ever ever say again that America is not already socialist, I mean my gosh, America is the largest, best, most successful socialist nation to ever exist on the planet. I tell the truth here....America is the true model of socialism, just hands out trillions, billions, millions, creates millionaires over night through Gov contracts and so forth. Talk radio hosts lie to you, the Zone only tells the truth.

It grosses me out when they show sick or injured people on TV, like in anti smoking commercials or cancer commercials or any other commercial that exploits a person physical appearance to sell a product or service.
I just find it gross and instantly turn the channel, so they're commercial have no effect on me, cause I never view long enough to see what product or idea they were pitching.
I really do think marketing companies hire the dorkiest people on the planet, who think that by 'grossing you out' by showing you another persons tragedy, that you'll then be 'touched' and 'moved' to by or use or even hear whatever message they're trying to convey.

And how come seems every scene on TV, there's has to be a 'black couple' or folks, sitting or mingling in immediate background?
I even noticed this on 3's Company the other week, when Jack and Janet were at the 'Reagle Beegle' (the bar at base of their apartment complex), even in that TV scene, sure enough 'black couple' propped up in immediate background for all viewers to see.
Again, the stupidity of those who make these decisions, what are they thinking??
'Oh gee, if we plant a black couple, or charcoal black person, in scene behind main action, than the viewers will see how truly diverse the world is, even within our fictional story'
Please.
I mean there was even a middle aged scene, I'm talking Celtic village scene and all, near the time of Hobbits and all, and even in this village scene, they had 'black' couple that kept appearing in immediate background, but looked more like they were dancers from 'Soul Train'....it was just so blatant.
I mean come on, I highly doubt back in the year 900 A.D. you'd have a casual African couple roaming around Celtic village.
Unless they were maybe time travelers or something.
I'm just saying it gets ridiculous after a while how they insert people of color into 'white scenes' just to give it racial balance.
I mean soon, just watch, soon, even in Hitler movies, some of the Nazi soldiers will be 'black' or 'Asian' or 'Arab', just so viewers will think that even Hitler was racially fair...say what?

Darn, just discovered 2 tasty cake cherry pies in cabinet, I don't need to eat it right now, not even, but am, or at least 1/4 of it as I sink back and channel surf.
TV has changed, so just have to adopt to it, at least it's free antenna TV, so at the mercy of local programming and some decent movie channels.
Time for a bit of rest, been creating and using brain all day, now time to sit back and watch other peoples creations on TV...and to enjoy this cherry pie.

Older 'W' males dominate the TV screen
If you have cable TV or antenna TV, you'll notice that older 'W' males dominate about 80% of screen time, on like all shows (except all female shows like 'the view'), but outside of 'The View', if you notice, 80% or more of all screen time dominated by older 'W' males, usually 40 or above, regardless of era.
I was just flipping the channel today, wanted to see some nice looking females, and seems every single channel on TV, all there were were older 'W' males...and I'm like 'Why must they always hog the screen time?'.
Then I turn on the radio, and again, older 'W' males blabbing away on all of the channels, no younger males, no females, nothing, just older 'W' males blabbing on sports radio, political radio, game and fishing radio show, preaching radio show, and more.
I guess older 'W' males just love hogging all of the media up, they're really full of vanity I guess.

Still I turn on TV today, and again 90% of screen time taken up by older 'w' men, they hog all the screen time!!
I really just started noticing that recently, cause you get the impression that there'd be mainly women on the screen, but no, go look and you'll see, turn on the TV, antenna TV any TV, and the majority of screen time is all hogged up by older 'w' men, with grey hair.
And this occurs in all decades since TV.
Older white males love hogging the screen, love seeing themselves on TV, even more so than women.

If I were in charge of TV programing, casting, what aired, it would all look so different.
There would be nothing annoying on TV, especially medical commercials that show gross stuff, now you can't eat your meal.
And no corona stuff allowed, Corona would not exist on my TV station.

Right now, I do need some entertainment, some non commercial entertainment, tempted to sign up to Amazon prime or netflix or both...but that would be another 30 dollar bill, it adds up, that's like $350.00 a year...might not seem like much until one day you're 300 dollars short on rent or car payment or some other must have item. Also when watching other peoples productions, creations, you don't have time to create your own stuff. Right now, to be honest, I just need to ride some roller coaster to let off some steam...

'Enterprise', for sure the worse Star Trek TV series spin off ever 'Enterprise', to me anyways, tied with the worst Star Trek spin off TV show ever. The two other runner ups for worst series is the one with the 'B' Captain, and the one with the Female Captain, all of them 'suck'. They all come off as being very 'flat' to me, as if written by PBS, like those after school Movies they use to have when I was younger and growing up, but you expected those movies to be of poor quality, but you don't expect anything associated with Star Trek to. All the actors are boring, stale and wooden, even the lighten is always 'dim', as if being filmed from a warehouse. You'd think they'd of hired a decent 'light filter' professional. These TV shows look as if they were filmed using a camcorder. To me there's no excuse for poor filmography when have access to the greatest tools. I think someone could shoot a better quality film using their cell phone video camera.

TV commercials seem to think everyone is dying or sick
I can't watch commercials anymore cause most are about medical issues they think viewers have.
It's like a mortuary or something.
example
'Are you fat, sick and bloated, well if so we have just the product for you'
or
'Dying are you?, well while you're still alive come to Morgan and Jorgan for life Insurance
or
'Back ache, stomach ache, and does your butt itch, than order our remedy pills'
I mean it just never stops.
So I don't watch.

And now they keep airing all the 'If you were abused by the 'C' church, or by the 'B' scouts, call this number, you may qualify for Law suite money..
Well, I was in the 'B' scouts for a while, and loved it, but can honestly say I was never abused, sometimes wish I were though, cause could now cash in and buy a house, a boat, helicopter and more...but no, I wasn't, as such I remain near broke.
I was just to ugly I suppose.
But in seriousness my Scout masters were some of the coolest, unselfish, helping 'men' a community could hope for, and I thank them for the good times they gave us, camping, hiking, and just other skill set activities.
