TV viewing is almost becoming un watchable to me as of lately, as of last few years actually. In fact there were many years I didn't have access to TV or cable and got along just fine. In all fairness I don't know if it's TV shows that are getting worse, or if it's just as you grow older, feel less connected to the content. Or both? I'm I a product of my era, as we all tend to be whether TV or music? Maybe, cause the new shows just seem plastic to me, and I cannot in no way shape or form relate to the characters or their lives. And CNN and Fox, the two national cable shows I get, their act gets tired, like how they will cover this Paris terror tragedy practically non stop for a week, they'll basically commercialize the tragedy for ratings. To me, over coverage kind of starts to cheapen the incident after a while. Tragedies like this occur in the 3rd world very often, in Palestine, Africa, and elsewhere, but no big whoop ti doo is made over it, it's just usually a 6 second news spot then they move onto other stuff. Also TV, they way they present life, just seems extra fake to me lately. It's probably always been that way, but when younger more protected, and so don't really know what 'real world' or real people, personalities are like. But the people, as portrayed in say, TV commercials, just come off as real fake to me now. On TV it's all smiles, in reality people have terrible attitudes that they bring into work, or bias, and let that racial, cultural or religious bias effect how they interact with you. On TV everyone is prestine, shiny, have nice teeth and perfectly combed hair, reality is nothing like that, unless maybe in the corporate world. On TV no one judges you in a negative way, or I should say prejudges you, in reality that's all people do. They decide whether they like you or don't like you in the span of 2 seconds just based on their own filters. __________________________________________________ More times than not TV shows, news shows ect, just end up making me feel depressed now, where you see a few lucky others propelled into the spot light, doing, getting credit for stuff you also do, have been doing for a long time. The difference is you might not have the right social or racial pedigree, or not in the right spot or place where your talents can be highlighted. Anyways, I've been so annoyed at TV lately that I felt it was time to create a section just for general thoughts on TV programing and viewing, more posts to follow of course.

Viewers should be able to create their own viewing experience
Not sure why in this day and age others still have to decide what millions watch.
I mean like on the channel 44, TV land, not sure why they play endless back to back episodes of Frazier ect.
I mean who decides this stuff?, who gets paid to lay down such terrible hellish programing?
Why not instead allow viewers to tap into mass library of shows they can pull out on their own?
And maybe they already have that with Netflix??
Cause static TV viewing just seems prehistoric now.

And I wish they had a public access channel open to where people could 'rent' air time and run their own news shows, ect for like 15-30 minute slots.
I'm tired of CNN and Fox's template of the news, where night after night after night, after day after evening, we're forced to hear the same personalities give their opinions over and over and over again.
As if their opinions are the only valid ones out of 200 + million people in nation, and or billions world wide.
They have even commercialized personalities, faces.
I wish my life were busy enough with other constructive activities where I weren't even writing about this topic.

TV shows that suckchannel 44 King of Queens Why does TV land play shows like this in loops, like 10 deadening episodes in a row? Typical fat chubby urban white dude, married to wife who looks like a model, typical TV couple template. CSI... Another show cable plays over and over again non stop. In no way shape or form can I relate to the characters on this show. I can't relate to generic characters, I'm not generic, so I can't relate to generic characters on TV. Generic acting, where everyone looks like Ken dolls or Barbie dolls, real life isn't like that. And if it's not real life than make it sci-fi. Another terrible TV night for me. Guess there's always 'The Zone' blog forum...good grief, where's the remote.

Not sure why CNN and Fox and other major news networks must commercialize Paris tragedy. I mean 24 hour a day none stop coverage for last 4 days, enough already.

The terrible movie selection HBO has on tonight that they're torturing people with302. The Left overs?...I guess some kind of series or something, movie or series, characters, move entirely to slow, characters generic, bland, and unknown, I have no reason to care about this movie or it's plot. 303. The Diplomat? some kind of documentary about some privileged politicians son, now turned adult. Could care the less... 304. The Devil wears Prada?...more fake plastic casting or cast actors that I can in no way shape or form relate to. I prefer 'The devil is a lie' song by that one rapper. 305. Dolphin Tale 2...I could care the less about dolphin tale one. 306. Toys, a 1992 fantasy movie staring LL Cool Jay when he was up and coming, and Robin Williams, very odd combination, even for back then. Have no freagen clue who on HBO staff decided it would be a good idea to bring up this prehistoric movie from 23 years ago and to keep playing it over and over again...makes no sense at all. 307. Latin explosion: A new America...better not tell Donald Trump about this show... A program basically showing how much apart of American culture Hispanics are. 308. Draft day starring Kevin Costner...yawn... And that's it, that's HBO's movie line up tonight, or as I type this. Boring...super duper boring, and I'm paying for this? I may have to cancel and swith to Netflix where I can choose what I want to watch.

Another night of unbearable TV.
Fox and CNN non stop coverage of terrorism, how morbid.
I have my own issues to worry about, and worrying about terrorism in no way helps me resolve my own personal issues. I'm still more concerned with local rogue street criminals than I am terrorism. At least where I stay, street criminals are more of a threat than organized terror plots.
AMC 45...Finding Never land, sounds like some Michael Jackson production, starring Johnny Depp 2004
Weather channel 16 'Fat guys in the woods'.
Don't understand why males are always depicted as being heavy set and near diabetic when on TV, I'm mean of all the more slender, college ages males that are probably in better shape, not sure why productions, whether TV commercials, movies ect, always go with these fat pre diabetic looking males beyond their soxual peak, yet always show the opposite when it comes to women.
To me that's bias to always depict males as being near diabetic, yet always cast women that look like Sports Illustrated models as their wives. Who conjures this sh_t up?
HBO...the Hobbit series, Rush hour, fighting ect.
The movie 'Fighting' is actually OK, watched part of it earlier.
Can't believe I'm paying for any of these shows that I'd never rent from movie ben now or back when they were released.

I normally don't like sports movies, butI normally don't like sports movies, I just don't, but 'Remember the Titans', is not a bad movie at all. Didn't realize it had been out since 2000, which makes the movie 15 years old..(duh) It's a good flick though, being aired by AMC or 45. Deals with football team of white and black players, back when America was still getting to know one another and heal. Racism is always bad, but the racism back then just seemed more 'innocent', and more clean than todays talk radio, politically driven resurgence of racism. Racism was just more basic back then. Most whites really didn't even know why they were suppose to hate blacks ect. Where as today, racism really seems to be ideology driven, goes deeper than like in the 60's. Hate and resentment is hate and resentment, but just saying it seemed more basic back then, or maybe not, oh well, this is a good movie, almost a football version of 'goodfellas'...in that it just flows, no korny parts or moments, movie just flows, all the characters flow, no weak links.

Watching 'Serial killer Earth', disaster footage on H2 channelI'm addicted to watching all these disasters strike down mans structures in these footages. It's just fun for some reason, as if 'Ye, see, that's what you get man'It can be fun to watch nature strike at man, the structure, the system, and do things you never could or would, but secretly want to sometimes out of anger. But when nature strikes man, structures, no one is arrested, cause you can't arrest nature, can't arrest and charge a tornado, or a Hurricane. It's just fun to watch nature bully man, structures, and systems that normally bully you.

Fat guys in the woodsWhat if this show were called 'Fat women in the studio'? Or 'Fat women in the woods/forest'? Point is is why is it always OK to portray guys as being fat, chunky, and beyond their soxual prime or appeal years on TV and media, yet woman always portrayed as being just the opposite? Sorry, but not all guys, males, are these fat, chunky, size 48 waste types. There are very slender, in shape, shaven, clean cut looking males out there, some look better than women actually, yet in the media, whoever controls what's seen, always only like to show males who look like Homer Simpson, fat, big bellies, 5 O'clock shady and half bald. This is done deliberately, while making sure the more ancient display or male beauty is always hidden (at least in the west) Instead slutty images of women, usually blonde, are hurled onto the masses in every single movie, TV show out there, as if they're the only standard of beauty. If you're not seeing the whole picture, if the whole picture is being deliberately held back, than it's a lie. Someone, something, deliberately wants all males on TV to seem fat and over the hill, while deliberately making all females on TV standing next to them look like super models, but that's not reality. For some reason TV/media/movie producers, TV commercials, hide younger more fit, softer version of males, they're basically invisible to the media, who instead likes to only show these fat, overweight, clumsy 4O something over the hill types who aren't a threat to anyone anymore. And contrast that with super young, magazine, model, looking Victoria secret females. Not sure why females are allowed to be portrayed as being young and soxy and good looking all the time in media, yet males who are the same are passed over for older chunky types with 5 O'clock shadows who are built like plumbers. Everything is done for a purposeful and deliberate reason...everything, and if you're honest to self you'll find the answer from within.

Can't take TV tonightEverything I see on TV is totally fake tonight. On TV whites aren't racist. On TV they only cast the ugliest, most dull looking black males that look like they just stepped off of slave ship. On TV only blonde white females are victims, and are the only ones to get chased by monsters while in bathing suit. On TV all fast food workers smile and are friendly. On TV nothing but gore, blood and guts and shootings, on family shows! Yet same people who watch these shows condemn the violent lyrics in rap! On TV couples always kissing...super yuk. On TV you have these super thin women cast as super heroes who take on men twice their size. On TV, all white males are portrayed, cast, as these older, balding, plumber body types. On TV news anchors on CNN and Fox totally out of touch with common people, come up with the oddest commentary and think others agree. I just don't need the headache this evening.

Media thoughts and otherNot sure where to lay down thoughts right now, so chose here, this room, this space. TV, the media is general, is about becoming unbearable to watch anymore. I think most do so out of habit anymore than true desire, like opening the fridge door over and over again, some how expecting something different to be there. Fox News show may as well be corn, the way they strategically position their female anchor legs to be main appeal of sickening news and commentary they broadcast. I guess they figure if you can't take their fake plastic phony version of value based TV, than they can at least hook male viewers with corn like display of their female anchors. I find it gross, the make up and all, that whole corn movie look they force the female anchors to take on. CNN can put out garbage to, but at least their female anchors aren't exploited nearly as much, and don't have to look like corn dolls while on air. And online magazine, news, newspaper sights Online magazine, news, newspaper sites make it near impossible to navigate their site once there..why? Do to all the freagen adds!! The videos, the scripts, the behind the scene programs all spying you, stealing your data, studying everything about you, it's all totally sickening, and something I'd expect Satan, the devil, to do. As such not sure who visits these online news sites anymore, you'd have to have a very high speed powerful computer to absorb all the adds and scripts, and video commercials, otherwise you can't scroll up or down the page cause page freezes up until stupid freagin adds display. F the adds... These sites cannot be navigated anymore, it's like old fashion dial up speed when you go to these sites now. Fools, watch visits to your sites drop, as more people get sick of the commercialism over substance template. Makes you want to go back to old fashion newspaper, where no adds fly out at you, and where news paper doesn't study you, and has no audible videos that interrupt your read. At least here, in the Zone, there's none of that crap, just good old fashion reading. TV is unbearable, twitter is about unbearable, with all the ugly political rhetoric pics people or bots upload. Humans behave like cruel animals at times, and politics makes it worse. Technology has simply amplified the ugliness of man, not squelched it.

Media on or off?
Twitter...ugly rhetoric about the President, ugly captioned and physical cartoonish or altered photo rhetoric that one would have to be a monster on the inside to create.
So, a monster expects to take high moral ground over another..hmm
Politics is the ultimate religion of self
TV...Fox and CNN, with their panels, that all they do is argue back and forth over issues, they cannot solve.
Paid to argue, paid to focus on the darkest most negative stuff on planet, all for ratings, add revenue.
History Channel 2, which spends all their time cleverly trying to convince viewers that God does not exist.
HBO...movies I've never heard of, movies that are decades old, movies that I never watched even when newly released, and play them over and over and over again, and then play them some more.
AMC...actually isn't so bad, they play better movies, shows, than HBO.
Yet, out of habit, silly me, I'll end up turning TV on, media on, and flipping through channels as if some how it will be different 'this time'.
What I really need to do is get a library card and start reading books again.

Tonight all of TV feels like the Walking DeadI mean what's with this 'Walking Dead' marathon? What's the purpose of it? Why make a series out of zombies? If they had made a series out of 'The Exorcist' then possessions wouldn't be scary anymore either. It's called over kill. 'Scary' can never become over saturated and predictable or it will cease to become scary anymore. And as usual the 'black' actors they hire to play roles in series are bland looking and have featureless qualities, the woman, the men. Refer to this link here for explanation... linkStill not sure why 'white' casting directors love casting dull looking black females and males next to carefully chosen 'white' performers, as if to show some kind of 'contrast'. Where as when 'blacks' cast women or men in movies, they always find the most attractive best looking blacks. I guess many white casting directors don't see 'blacks' as models, but rather as 'tools' props, to fill positions on film, and so always seem to find the most bland, featurless, Africanized blacks to play in roles next to highly touted, very carefully chosen 'whites'. Only pretty white females cast in movies, but not the same can be said of black women. But J-Zee the rapper and Ice Cube and 50 cent never seem to have a hard time finding very cute women of color to be in their videos. But white male casting directors seem to ignore pretty black women, and instead go out of their way to seek the most 'maid' ish looking black women they can find, with dull plantation looks, to cast next to more carefully chosen white women and men. There is a reason that is done, it's deliberate, and there's a reason for it that maybe I'll explore later on... But it's already been discussed here... linkAnyways, all that aside, very dull TV night. All channels, I just can't find anything of interest. CNN's 'Parts unknown', that gets depressing seeing someone else be able to travel around the world when you can't. HBO, as usual playing generic no name movies I've never heard of before, and or movies 15 years old that were bad then and are bad now...Accept 'Blade Runner' which they aired earlier. Then there's H2, science, where they're always trying to convince viewers we all came from space Aliens and that scientist can peer back billions and billions of years...such arrogance. TV viewing is just not the same anymore.

The point of TV is what anymore?
The point of TV is what anymore I wonder?
Is the point to sit home and watch others do things we ourselves should be out doing?
To watch others doing what we wish we could do, don't have the courage or means to do?
Maybe it's nice knowing certain outcomes are garunteed on TV, on TV effort and good intention always seem to pay off, in real life you're lucky if it does ever.
